We invite you to continue serving our great country, and to join us in lending our voices to support and sustain a greater cause: improving the lives of those who serve to defend our country, and their families.
As a Valued Member of the MOAA Nassau Chapter, you will…
Find Camaraderie With a Purpose…
MOAA chapters unite active duty, former, and retired officers from every branch of service, including National Guard and Reserve, as well as surviving spouses. These centers of camaraderie not only give you a chance to connect with other members with similar backgrounds and interests, but to also develop close and lasting friendships.
Stay Informed…
Our national award-winning Newsletter and Website provide you with the latest information on local, state, and national issues and changes to military benefits. And of course, the website keeps you up to date on our frequent and fun-filled Officers Calls. As Comrades, fellow Brothers and Sisters in Arms and National Service, one of our Purposes is to socialize…frequently…to stay informed of course, and to just have fun together. Camaraderie With a Purpose includes enjoying each other’s company. And, if truth be told, it has been reported that more than a few Sea Stories have been shared over our Wardroom Tables. We’d love to hear about the highlights of your career.
Network With Fellow Officers…
Chapters include second-career members in the work force and retired servicemembers who have contacts in their communities that can be valuable to transitioning officers. Join our robust network of current and retired military officers for professional and social connections.
Make yourself heard…
from Nassau County to Tallahassee to Washington, our Members make our Voices heard regarding issues affecting all of us.
Influence State Legislation…
Florida has an active, effective Council of Chapters that unites chapters in the state. The Florida CoC successfully lobbys for state level legislation that affects military members and their families, such as exempting military retired pay from state income tax or increasing funding for state veterans’ programs.
Get Involved, Give Back to Our Community…
Chapter members are MOAA’s ambassadors in their communities, supporting countless programs that make a difference in the lives of others. These members continue their “officership” service and are giving back in the truest sense. As a Member you will have opportunities to engage in community service projects and support local veterans’ initiatives.
