There is a proposal to change some verbiage in the bylaws, to be current and relevant. Membership will be notified of the change and vote on it in February. Mike, Tony and Mary Gustafson will represent our chapter at the MOAA meeting in Orlando at the end of January 2024. On 3 February 2024 Vets for Vets will meet at West Nassau High School.  We are invited to attend. Vice President Tony LaVecchia: Deceased members names need to be sent to National MOAA. By-laws need to be updated before a 501-19 is created. Tony will get a PO Box for the chapter.   Our Chapter now has a PO Box at the Fernandina Beach Post Office.  Details are as follows:   Box Number:  16313 (It is at the perfect height, no bending required...maybe for Mike).   Name for Box:  Nassau County Florida MOAA   Address:  Nassau County Florida MOAA, PO Box 16313, Fernandina Beach Fl 32035.  (Yes, the zip code ends with a 5)   Address for Amazon, UPS, and FEDEX deliveries only:   Nassau County Florida MOAA, 1997 Sadler Rd, Unit # 16313, Fernandina Beach Fl 32034 (Yes, zip code ends with a 4 and apparently a physical address is needed for those three delivery companies.)   Keys:  I have keys for Mike, PB, Bob, Kate, and me.  I have three on hand and two on order and they will be put in the box upon delivery.  I will distro on hand keys Tuesday.   Authorized PO Box Officers:  Mike, PB, Bob, Kate, and me.  Need two forms of ID to pickup mail from the counter.   Cost:  $176/year.  I paid for the first year and will submit receipts to Bob for reimbursement. We actually got a month for free.  Total cost with key deposit and extra keys is:  $227.00 All:   Please update any documents and/or website and newsletter containing our Chapter address.  Once the membership form is updated, please send it to Joe and Rich to include in the Newsletter and Website. We need to obtain liability insurance in the near future.  Other goals to be met are: hold recruiting events, design and purchase recruiting cards, design and purchase a Chapter tri-fold, update the website to be compliant for website award criteria and establish a chapter mission and purpose statement. Treasurers Report Bob Bell:   There is $6,828.90 in the bank.  A very generous donation of $1,000 from Ms. Gallo (a widow of one of our members) and a refund of $1,000 from a college which did not admit a scholarship winner last year because the student did not pursue higher education at this college added to the balance. Secretary’s Report Kate Waldrop:  We need to memorialize our deceased members this year on Memorial Day. Membership Charlie Finnegan:.  Nothing to add Data Processing Paul Booton:  WWII vet Mr. Conner passed 2 years ago. Web Site Development Joe Blanchard:  NCFLMOAA.org  The website will need updating to be in compliance with MOAA. Surviving Spouse Support Liaison Mary Gustafson: (absent)  Mary will be going to Orlando in late January for the MOAA meeting. Programs/Events Harry Henning:   Harry is currently working on recruiting speakers for the forthcoming months.
