— ADVOCACY —

The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is the country’s leading organization protecting the rights of uniformed servicemembers and their families. MOAA’s constituents proudly hail from every branch of the uniformed services. To them, we have made the same promise that they have made to their country: Never Stop Serving.
For more than 90 years, MOAA has supported legislation that benefits the uniformed services community and has remained equally vigilant when fighting to stop legislation that threatens our livelihood. The larger our numbers, the greater our voice.

Advocacy-in-Action (AiA)

MOAA’s annual legislative event, Advocacy in Action (AiA) is here, the Campaign is on,  and we need all our members to demonstrate support on behalf of the Uniformed Services Community for more than 22 million servicemembers, veterans, retirees, families, and survivors.  This year, MOAA is focusing on four key initiatives:

–Major Richard Star Act – Ends the retirement pay offset for combat-injured veterans medically retired before 20 years.

–Shutdown Fairness Act – Ensures servicemembers continue to receive pay during government shutdowns.

–GUARD VA Benefits Act – Stops predatory claims agents from charging veterans for VA disability claims assistance.

–Military CARE Act – Improves access to care and accountability within military treatment facilities.

What you can do:

(1)  Be informed – Learn more about AiA and these issues at: https://www.moaa.org/aialaunch2026.

(2)  Spread the word – Talk with friends and family and encourage their support. Anyone can sign up and send messages through the Legislative Action Center!
